Job summary

Capital Group is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to shape governance capabilities across North America, Europe, and Asia. You will partner with governance teams and data practitioners to improve data quality, strengthen controls, and enable effective data use across the organization.

You will provide leadership in governance initiatives, translate complex requirements into actionable solutions, and drive continuous improvement with a strategic mindset and strong business acumen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 7+ years of data governance, data management, or related experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, controls, data quality, and data management practices.
• Experience with business analysis, risk assessments, and solution design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute data governance strategies across Client Group data domains.
• Collaborate with governance forums to drive priorities and best practices.
• Provide oversight of data governance activities across North America and Europe & Asia.
• Evaluate governance risks and propose improvements to data quality and controls.
• Lead analysis and solution design for complex governance initiatives.
• Define business requirements, future-state processes, and governance workflows.
• Document data lineage, transformations, and dependencies.
• Mentor associates and promote governance best practices.
• Communicate priorities and risks to senior leadership.
• Stay current on industry trends and regulatory developments.
