MGM Resorts International is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Governance in Las Vegas to lead enterprise-wide governance and metadata management. You will define policies, build a stewardship program, and drive a roadmap across business and IT, aligning with data insights strategy.

The role oversees platform ownership for Alation and Unity Catalog, ensuring data security, quality, and discoverability while partnering with Data Engineering and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IS/Business or related field.
• 7+ years in data management/analytics/engineering with 3+ years in data governance leadership.
• Hands-on experience with Alation and/or Databricks Unity Catalog.
• Deep understanding of governance frameworks, MDM, and data quality.
• Proven ability to lead a Data Governance Council and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent communication translating technical concepts to business terms.

Responsibilities

• Chair and manage the enterprise Data Governance Council.
• Define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Develop and execute a multi-year governance roadmap.
• Establish and mature a Data Stewardship program.
• Drive data literacy and change management across the organization.
• Oversee Alation and Unity Catalog platform deployment and integration.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and IT to embed governance in pipelines.
