Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group seeks a Data Governance Lead to support data governance, catalog, metadata management, and responsible AI governance across the enterprise. You will collaborate with data stewards, tech teams, and governance stakeholders to improve data reliability, usability, and trust in AI assets.

The role covers governance reporting, standards adoption, and cross-functional sessions; experience with enterprise data products and AI governance is essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in math, econ, CS, or information mgmt.
• 6+ years in data governance, data management, data quality, analytics, or related enterprise data role.
• 3+ years supporting governance, stewardship, quality, delivery, or lifecycle management of enterprise data products/assets.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL.
• Azure Cloud and Databricks technologies.
• Experience with Python or modern programming languages.
• Experience supporting AI governance; familiarity with NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, EU AI Act concepts.
• Hands-on knowledge of Purview, Collibra, OneTrust AI Governance, Unity Catalog, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• DATA STEWARDSHIP: Gather, document functional requirements, data definitions and governance expectations.
• Evaluate data against quality standards; translate risks into actionable recommendations.
• Document and promote governance standards, policies, and data quality improvements.
• Monitor data governance solutions for adherence to standards and controls.
• Participate in governance groups to establish decision rights and workflows.
• Partner with data stewards to resolve data issues and promote trusted metadata.
• Champion metadata usage through training and stakeholder engagement.
• Use SQL, Python, Power BI/Tableau, Azure Databricks, and governance platforms to analyze data and track actions.
• DATA CATALOG: Maintain enterprise data catalog content including glossary terms and data lineage.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and maintain trusted metadata across domains.
• Define catalog governance standards and entry requirements; ensure alignment with compliance.
• Promote catalog adoption through training and KPI tracking.
• AI governance: support AI governance frameworks; oversee AI inventories, approvals, lifecycle evidence.
