Job summary

ETHEREUM TECHNOLOGIES LLC is seeking a senior data governance leader to design and own the enterprise framework, policies, and metadata strategy. You will drive governance across cloud and analytics platforms with Databricks and Unity Catalog at the core, while ensuring privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.

You will define catalog structures, access rules, and data quality controls, unifying data across systems and mentoring data stewards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data governance, data management, or enterprise data architecture.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks and Unity Catalog (catalog design, access policies, lineage, classification/tagging).
• Experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Redshift, IAM).
• Experience with data governance workflows, tooling, and model management.
• Strong understanding of MDM, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Governing data across fragmented systems, multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with data privacy and compliance (PII, PHI, GDPR).
• Ability to work across business/technical teams and translate governance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the enterprise data governance framework including policies, standards, and metadata strategy.
• Lead governance across cloud and analytics platforms with focus on Databricks and Unity Catalog.
• Define catalog structure, tagging, and access rules across domains.
• Implement metadata management, lineage tracking, and data quality controls.
• Unify data across systems with scalable models and reusable governance patterns.
• Ensure data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance (PII, HIPAA where applicable).
• Oversee data access controls, entitlements, and policy enforcement across analytics.
• Establish issue management, remediation, and continuous improvement processes.
• Mentor data stewards and support adoption of governance standards.
• Support platform modernization and analytics, AI/ML, and self-service use cases.
