Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $22.00/hr

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Data Entry Pharmacy Technician to support our client’s pharmacy operations team. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a certified Pharmacy Technician with strong data entry experience, exceptional attention to accuracy, and the ability to thrive in a technology-driven environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and capable of maintaining precision in a fast-paced, virtual setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter prescription information accurately and efficiently into the pharmacy management system in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Review scanned prescription documents to extract and verify key data, including medication details, patient demographics, prescriber information, and insurance coverage.
  • Coordinate with pharmacists and team leads to resolve any discrepancies or missing information related to prescription entries.
  • Ensure the timely and consistent processing of prescription intake to meet service level expectations and quality standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive and compliant documentation of all prescription entry activity, supporting internal audits and quality control.
  • Identify and escalate any potential issues related to prescription accuracy, drug interactions, or insurance rejections.
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines, remote work protocols, and company data security standards to protect patient privacy.
  • Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and ongoing process improvement efforts led by pharmacy leadership.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA preferred.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of pharmacy technician experience, with prior exposure to prescription data entry in retail, mail-order, or long-term care settings.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software systems (e.g., QS/1, PioneerRx, FrameworkLTC, or equivalent).
  • High typing accuracy and speed (50+ WPM preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication terminology, insurance billing, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Excellent written communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a secure, distraction-free home office environment.

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is $37,000 – $46,000 annually ($18.00 – $22.00 per hour), based on experience and qualifications.
