Job summary

SHI is seeking a Services Solutions Engineer, Data Engineering, to design, build, and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms using Microsoft Azure, Fabric, and related services. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, data governance, and secure, compliant solutions for analytics and AI initiatives.

The position is primarily remote with a home office setup per policy, and involves collaborating with Solution Engineers, Project Managers, and client stakeholders on state-level public sector and

Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure data engineering and data platform delivery experience.
• Experience designing data lakehouse/warehouses in Azure.
• Knowledge of security, encryption, and HIPAA/PII concepts.
• Experience working in consulting or project delivery environments.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement data ingestion and integration pipelines in Azure.
• Develop scalable data lakehouse/warehouse solutions in Azure Fabric.
• Create data models, ETL/ELT processes, and data lineage for multi-source data.
• Configure and manage ADLS Gen2 and data storage.
• Collaborate with BI/analytics teams for reporting and AI workloads.
• Produce design artifacts, migration plans, and runbooks.
