DoorDash is seeking a Software Engineer to scale our data infrastructure, automation, and tools to meet growing business needs. You will design and implement high-volume data pipelines for Data Lake and Data Warehouse and collaborate across teams to collect required data.

The role requires 3+ years in data engineering, proficiency with Python/Java, and experience with Airflow/Flink/Kafka, plus Snowflake/Redshift. Based in Sunnyvale, CA, with competitive compensation and equity opportunities.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, BI, or similar roles.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools in the full software lifecycle (design, generate code, test, monitor, release).
• Proficiency in Python/Java.
• 3+ years with ETL orchestration/workflow tools (Airflow, Flink, Oozie, Azkaban on AWS/GCP).
• Expert in database fundamentals, SQL, distributed computing.
• 3+ years with distributed data ecosystems (Spark, Hive, Druid, Presto) and streaming (Kafka/Flink).
• Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, PostgreSQL or other DBMS.

Responsabilidades

• Understand data requirements with business partners.
• Collaborate with engineering, product teams and 3rd parties to collect data.
• Design and implement large-scale data models and pipelines for Data Lake and Data Warehouse.
• Develop data quality checks, QA, and monitoring routines.
• Improve reliability and scalability of ETL processes.
• Manage data products delivering high-quality, trustworthy data.
• Onboard and support other engineers joining the team.
