PACCAR, a global truck technology leader based in Renton, WA, seeks a Data Engineering Manager to lead a diverse team delivering trusted data for BI and analytics. You will shape the data engineering roadmap, guide tool choices, and drive modern cloud data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong foundation in data pipelines, modeling, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing.
• Proficiency with SQL and at least one programming language.
• Experience with Snowflake, Qlik Replicate, Airflow, or Kafka.
• DevOps practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Ability to translate complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Track record of collaboration across engineering, product, and business teams.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Define vision, roadmap, standards, and practices for data engineering at PACCAR.
• Build relationships with data engineers, product managers, and analytics teams to deliver trusted data.
• Own and prioritize the data engineering roadmap balancing priorities and modernization.
• Evaluate tools and delivery methods; lead adoption for reliability and cost efficiency.
• Promote cloud resource efficiency via capacity planning and performance optimization.
• Own production maturity for Trusted Data with monitoring, DR, and runbooks.
