Job summary

Moda Operandi is seeking a hands-on Manager of Data Engineering to lead the data engineering function supporting Moda Operandi, a luxury e-commerce business. This player-coach owns the design, delivery, and operation of scalable data infrastructure powering the full digital customer journey, including personalization and analytics.

The ideal candidate has data engineering and leadership experience, and can partner with product, engineering, and business teams in a high-expectation retail

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of data/analytics engineering experience with 1-3 years in leadership.
• Experience building and operating large-scale data platforms in e-commerce/digital business.
• Hands-on with modern data tooling and cloud data platforms.
• Proficient with Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Looker, Tableau, dbt.
• Deliver reliable data products for analytics, reporting, and ML.

Responsibilities

• Own design, delivery, and operation of scalable data pipelines across e-commerce, CRM, ERP, and inventory.
• Architect and evolve enterprise data platform including data lakes, warehouses, and APIs.
• Ensure data reliability, quality, lineage, observability, and performance.
• Lead adoption of modern tooling and CI/CD for data workflows.
• Manage, mentor, and grow a data engineering team.
