Job summary

Félix, a fast-growing fintech company serving Latinos in the US, is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead our core data engineering squad and our DBA team. You will shape the data platform and partner with product and analytics to deliver scalable, reliable data infrastructure.

Based in a GCP-native environment with AI-native mindset, you will drive streaming and batch workflows using BigQuery, dbt, and Apache Flink, while mentoring engineers and raising data quality, governance, and cost

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading data engineering teams and writing code.
• Strong GCP background with BigQuery.
• Experience with dbt and Apache Flink (or Dataflow).
• AI-native mindset and automation fluency.
• Experience managing PostgreSQL/MySQL DBAs.
• Rigorous focus on clean architecture and documentation.
• Excellent English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, scale, and mentor Data Engineers and DBA team.
• Drive infrastructural platform projects using GCP, BigQuery, DBT, Flink.
• Foster AI-native operations in pipeline code and platforms.
• Oversee relational DBAs for reliability and integration with the analytics layer.
• Set data quality, testing, observability, and cost-optimization standards.
• Align pipeline development with business goals.
