American Fidelity Corporation is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to provide strategic and technical leadership for data platforms and initiatives. You will align delivery with enterprise strategy, ensure security and quality, and drive cloud, DevOps, and AI-assisted engineering programs.

The role involves leading the team, coordinating with business and technology leaders, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

• Understanding of API concepts and RESTful data access patterns.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL Managed Instances, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies and enterprise security concepts.
• Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in managing project teams through full lifecycle and using Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for data project teams delivering complex applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and measurable outcomes.
• Accountable for end-to-end delivery, technical direction, and performance of portfolio initiatives, including resource management and development planning.
• Collaborate with data office to develop technical roadmaps and oversee technology strategy implementation while ensuring standards and best practices.
