Job summary

Leidos invites rising data and software students to join its Summer 2027 Internship Program as a Data Engineering & Analytics Intern on the GSM-O II contract at Scott AFB, IL. You will gain hands-on experience with dashboards, data pipelines, and software development in support of DISA.

You will work with an Agile team, build Kibana visualizations, deploy Kafka/Elastic clusters, and contribute to Python, JavaScript, and SQL projects in a real-world defense environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with eligibility for DoD Secret clearance.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related engineering.
• Foundational understanding of software development with Python, Java, or SQL; working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
• Familiar with Git and basic version control.

Responsibilities

• Create Kibana visualizations and dashboards for operators and leadership.
• Assist with deploying, configuring, and testing Kafka and Elastic clusters.
• Collaborate with an Agile team, participate in daily scrums, and demonstrate working software.
• Develop troubleshooting skills for infrastructure and system-level issues.
• Design, develop, and test software in Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
