Job summary

Foxconn Houston is hiring a dedicated data engineer to ensure scalable access to data across the manufacturing environment. You will build, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines using Cicada and other Big Data tools, collaborating with data analysts to support cross-factory data needs.

The role requires strong SQL and Python, experience with Hadoop ecosystems, and experience deploying data solutions with CI/CD practices. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, including data warehousing, ETL design and optimization.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with data warehouse modeling and API integration.
• Experience with Linux (CentOS/RedHat/Ubuntu).
• CI/CD automation experience.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools (Hadoop, Hive, Spark).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user needs, system requirements and business processes.
• ETL and manage data pipelines using Cicada.
• Process real-time and batch Big Data.
• Design, create, maintain, update, and present Tableau dashboards.
