Job summary

Goodin Company seeks a Data Engineer to build dashboards and data pipelines across sales, inventory, warehouse, and vendor systems. You will transform ERP and POS data into actionable insights for branch managers and executives, enabling smarter inventory decisions and pricing accuracy.

Responsibilities include designing reports, writing complex SQL against Infor ERP data, automating reporting, and ensuring data integrity across multi-system sources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Experience in a data/reporting role within distribution, wholesale, or supply chain.
• Proficiency in SQL with complex ERP data joins.
• Experience with at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik).
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Infor or similar).
• Understanding of inventory concepts (turns, fill rate, min/max).
• Strong analytical skills with attention to pricing/margin data.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain dashboards for distribution metrics like inventory turns and branch sales.
• Write and optimize SQL queries against ERP data to support pricing, purchasing, and sales reporting.
• Automate recurring reports to reduce manual Excel work for sales and operations.
• Maintain data pipelines from ERP, WMS, and e-commerce platforms into the data warehouse.
• Monitor data integrity and troubleshoot discrepancies across systems.
• Collaborate with end users to translate reporting needs for HVAC seasonality and product mix.
