Job summary

Figma is growing its data engineering intern program, based in San Francisco or New York, with a focus on building scalable pipelines and reliable datasets. As part of the data team, you will partner with engineers and analysts to enable data-driven decision making and help scale our systems.

You should be proficient in Python or SQL, have experience with data pipelines or ETL, and be curious to learn and collaborate.

Qualifications

• Experience coding in Python or SQL.
• Experience building or working with data pipelines, ETL, or large datasets.
• Curiosity about how data systems work and desire to scale and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and document data pipelines to bring product or business data into Figma’s data warehouse.
• Help design foundational datasets that are trusted, well-documented, and easy to use.
• Optimize pipelines for performance and scalability as Figma grows.
• Partner with cross-functional teammates to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
• Contribute to tools and practices that simplify working with data at Figma.
• Own a scoped project from problem definition through implementation, testing, documentation, and sharing results.
