Job summary

Figma is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to build and evolve the shared data platform powering analytics, Data Science, and data-driven product development. You will improve local development, testing, CI/CD, and deployment workflows while creating self-service tools for teams to build and operate reliable data pipelines.

You will also focus on data reliability, monitoring, and clear data definitions, ownership, lineage, and governance across systems. This is a full-time on-site role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production data platforms, developer infrastructure, or distributed systems.
• Strong software engineering skills (Python or similar), designing reliable and scalable systems.
• Experience improving developer workflows such as local development, testing, CI/CD, orchestration, or deployment.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses, transformation frameworks, workflow orchestrators, infrastructure as code, and observability tools.
• A track record of owning shared systems end to end and leading cross-functional projects.
