Splice is hiring a Data Engineer II to scale data pipelines powering payouts, revenue reporting, and product analytics. You will work on the data warehouse, governance, and platform reliability with a hands-on, high-ownership approach.

The role emphasizes modernized pipelines, robust observability, and collaboration across a small team responsible for finance-critical data and product insights.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering in production environments.
• Proficiency in SQL — window functions, CTEs, query optimization.
• Proficiency in Python for pipeline logic, data transformation, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data models in SQLMesh, with incremental loading and testing.
• Improve orchestration and transformation infrastructure as the platform scales.
• Modernize legacy pipeline jobs in Python and SQLMesh to reduce technical debt.
• Enhance observability with dashboards, alerts, and metrics.
• Support pipelines for creator payouts and GAAP-compliant revenue reporting.
