Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a data engineering professional to join the Defense and Security team in the United States. You will work in cross-functional Agile teams with data scientists, engineers, and project managers to build scalable data platforms that support mission outcomes for federal clients.

You will design core data frameworks, leverage modern languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, and Go, and apply DevOps/DataOps practices to deliver robust, secure enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance or SCI-eligibility, ideally with past DoD SAP/SAR access.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience with aerospace/defense programs or mission data.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with defense and security teams on challenging issues in a fast-paced, non-hierarchical environment.
• Work in cross-functional Agile teams with data scientists, engineers, PMs, and experts to innovate and build assets.
• Design and develop core data frameworks to enable software capabilities used by data engineers, data scientists, and clients.
