Job summary

Deloitte's AI & Data team in the United States is looking for a PROJECT - Data Engineer II to design, build, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines for analytics and AI use cases. You will optimize ETL processes with Python/SQL, integrate data from diverse sources, and ensure data quality across cloud and on-prem environments.

The role requires 1+ years with ETL, SQL, Python, and relational databases, plus the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field.
• 0-2 years of experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• 1+ years of experience in extract, transform, and load architecture and development.
• 1+ years of experience using Python and Structured Query Language to build or support data pipelines.
• 1+ years of experience working with relational database management systems.
• Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining batch and streaming data pipelines that support reporting, analytics, and artificial intelligence use cases.
• Building and optimizing extract, transform, and load processes using SQL, Python, and data engineering frameworks.
• Integrating data from structured and unstructured sources across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Supporting data quality, validation, monitoring, and issue resolution activities for production data assets.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement data models, improve platform performance, and support client delivery objectives.
• Lead projects or workstreams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide clear guidance to others and maintain professional relationships.
