Job summary

Deloitte’s AI & Data team is hiring a Data Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines that power analytics and AI use cases. You will work with Python, SQL, and data engineering frameworks to integrate data from various sources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar quantitative field.
• 0-2 years of experience in Agile delivery environments.
• 1+ years of experience in ETL architecture and development.
• 1+ years of experience using Python and SQL to build data pipelines.
• 1+ years of experience working with relational database management systems.
• Ability to travel 0-10%.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines for reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
• Build and optimize ETL processes using Python and SQL.
• Integrate data from structured and unstructured sources across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Support data quality, validation, monitoring, and issue resolution for production data assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data models and improve platform performance.
• Lead projects or workstreams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
