Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Data Engineer to own substantial portions of our data architecture, build ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS, and design AI-powered data frameworks that improve planning accuracy across Amazon's delivery network.

You will collaborate with planning scientists, software and BI engineers, and product managers to shape scalable data solutions, enforce data quality, and automate workflows from ingestion to metrics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• 1+ years in large-scale BI analytics using ETL/ELT processes.
• 1+ years in BI analytics using OLAP technologies.
• 1+ years in BI analytics using data modeling experience.
• 1+ years of SQL experience.
• 1+ years of Oracle experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and ETL pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and own logical and physical data models for major datasets.
• Build and optimize ETL pipelines using AWS services and Python orchestration.
• Create configurable data frameworks replacing repetitive code.
• Develop AI agent tooling to generate SQL and manage data quality rules.
• Own ongoing data quality, SLAs, and data certification processes.
• Collaborate with planning scientists, software engineers, BI engineers, and PMs.
• Improve self-service data access and analytics tooling.
• Improve engineering processes and code quality; mentor engineers and interns.
• Participate in interviewing and recruitment for the team.
