Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Bellevue, WA is hiring an experienced Data Engineer to design and build data pipelines, data warehouse and BI solutions using AWS big data tools. You will work across data sources, optimize performance, and deliver actionable insights for leadership.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT experience. You will mentor others and collaborate with Product, Finance, and Sales teams to drive analytics initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• 3+ years building and operating large-scale BI data structures with ETL/ELT.
• 3+ years building and operating large-scale BI data structures using OLAP technologies.
• 3+ years developing data models and SQL for analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support data warehouse / data lake infrastructure on AWS big data stack.
• Develop and manage ETLs to source data from multiple systems for analytics.
• Use BI tools to develop dashboards for senior leadership.
• Enable self-serve analytics for internal customers and support ad-hoc reporting.
• Develop deep understanding of vast data sources to solve business problems.
• Collaborate with Product, Finance, Service Eng and Sales on analytics needs.
• Manage multiple requests concurrently and prioritize as needed.
• Partner across teams to deliver results.
• Mentor engineers and help grow the team.
