Job summary

CoStar Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer II for Homes.com in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on building out sitewide tracking architecture and feeding data into KPI dashboards to track performance and user behavior.

You will design data models, pipelines, and governance to support analytics across departments. The position emphasizes hands-on data engineering, Databricks/Snowflake-based workflows, and collaboration with DBA, DevOps, and SecOps teams to ensure data integrity and scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Solid OO programming fundamentals.
• Experience building data-driven products at scale.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and BI tools.
• Familiarity with AI tooling and tooling for development.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee dimensional modeling and data platform structures.
• Build secure data warehouses and data lakehouses with ETL pipelines.
• Implement and optimize Spark jobs and data transformations.
• Develop AI/ML integrated data pipelines and models.
• Apply AI-assisted software development practices to improve productivity.
• Translate data domains into robust data models and ETL strategies.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure data access and quality.
• Mentor engineers and analysts and deliver projects on time.
