Job summary

CoStar Group, Inc. is seeking an Analytics Data Engineer II for Homes.com in Arlington, VA. You will design end-to-end data infrastructure, build reliable pipelines, and deliver scalable BI solutions enabling self‑service analytics for product, marketing, and sales teams.

The role partners with Data Science and ML teams to productionize models, including AI/LLM applications, and supports data quality and governance across enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL, Python, PySpark, data warehousing, and BI tools.
• 2+ years of experience with data engineering tools, pipeline creation and management.
• Experience with cloud platforms and data warehouse solutions (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, SQL Server).
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Understanding of AI technologies and hands‑on experience leveraging AI tooling in development (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, Grok).
• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design and deployment of automated data infrastructure—from defining initial data requirements and owning table/schema design to creating reliable, production data pipelines that power internal analytics and customer‑facing products.
• Work with product and software engineering teams to define tracking strategy and data requirements; design and build automated scripts using SQL or Python to transform raw source data into datasets.
• Develop and implement data quality and pipeline monitoring procedures to ensure data accuracy and completeness, including validation rules and data audits.
• Design warehouse architecture and infrastructure to support all business reporting needs.
• Design tables, schemas, and processes that efficiently compile datasets for analytical and front‑end use cases.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams on data needs and provide tools to access and analyze data.
• Lead business analysis to help stakeholders access, analyze, and interpret data and understand business implications.
• Develop and maintain scalable BI solutions in Power BI built on curated datasets and data models.
• Apply analytical and data science techniques to curate datasets and develop models for Homes.com front‑end experience.
• Partner with Data Science and ML teams to productionize models and scale advanced use cases, including LLM applications.
