Job summary

NationsBenefits is seeking a Data Engineer I in Plantation, Florida to support enterprise data solutions in a healthcare setting. You will build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, work with Databricks, SQL Server, and SSIS, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver reliable data services.

The role requires a foundational understanding of Databricks, Spark, SQL, and data integration concepts; healthcare data experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS/IT/Engineering.
0–3 years in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or related field.
Working knowledge of Databricks and Apache Spark.
Strong SQL skills; able to write and troubleshoot complex queries.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
Exposure to SSIS and PL/SQL development.
Understanding ETL/ELT concepts and data integration.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using Databricks and SQL.
Assist data ingestion, transformation, and integration across enterprise systems.
Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and objects.
Support SSIS packages and data integration workflows.
Work with Databricks and Apache Spark to process data.
Troubleshoot data quality issues and provide production support.
Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and business partners to deliver solutions.
Create and maintain technical/documentation.
Support data governance, data quality, and HIPAA compliance initiatives.
