Job summary

Travelers data engineering role focused on building and scaling data pipelines for enterprise analytics. You will design, implement, and operationalize data solutions that enable AI, ML, and BI insights, working with Snowflake, AWS, and dbt in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL skills, data modeling experience, and familiarity with CI/CD practices for data workflows, with a background in STEM and several years of related work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field or equivalent.
• Six years of related experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL with hands-on Snowflake experience.
• Proven experience building ETL pipelines using AWS, dbt, or other ETL tools.
• Understanding of AWS services and data architecture patterns (S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch).
• Experience with data modeling techniques (star/snowflake schema) and data warehouse design principles.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD for data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize complex data solutions, correct problems, apply transformations, and ensure data quality.
• Design data solutions and assess data value for analytical use.
• Collaborate across teams to support delivery and educate end users on data products.
• Perform data and system analysis, and resolve defects of moderate complexity.
• Test data movement and transformations; validate data components.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
