Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior data engineer in the United States to build and operationalize complex data solutions, ensuring data governance and quality across pipelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and educate users on data products.

Ideal candidates bring strong programming, CI/CD, and debugging skills, with experience in AI/ML-enabled data workflows and real-time processing. This role requires authorization to work in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent education/work experience.
• Six years of related experience in data engineering or software engineering.
• Two additional years of software/data engineering experience.
• Strong data engineering fundamentals and hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines.
• Proficiency with AWS Lambdas, EventBridge, Step Functions, DynamoDB, and Athena.
• Experience with AI tools and concepts (e.g., Claude).
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and relevant tooling.
• Experience with Jira, GitHub, Snyk, ServiceNow, and Autosys.
• Proficient programming skills, testing, CI/CD, and version control.

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize complex data solutions.
• Correct problems and apply data transformations.
• Recommend data cleansing and quality solutions.
• Design data solutions.
• Analyze data sources to determine value for analytics.
• Incorporate data governance, security, and quality practices.
• Collaborate within and across teams to support delivery.
• Educate end users on data products and analytics environment.
• Perform data/system analysis, assessment, and resolution for moderately complex defects and incidents.
• Test data movement, transformation code, and data components.
• Support data pipelines and solutions for AI/ML and BI.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
