Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks a Data Engineer to support a growing Data Analytics and BI platform for federal customers. The role emphasizes critical thinking, learning across technologies, and delivering data-driven insights.

The ideal candidate will contribute to Agile teams, develop scalable data pipelines, and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and UX researchers to meet evolving requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT experience with large, complex data sets and models.
• Experience building data pipelines from diverse sources (structured & unstructured).
• Proficiency in ETL development, testing, and validation.
• Ability to manipulate data using Python, R, SQL, SAS.
• Strong knowledge of big data tools and storage technologies; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end data pipelines to store, manage, and provision data to consumers.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum team and adhere to lean‑agile engineering practices.
• Write code to ensure performance and reliability of data extraction and processing.
• Support automated data ingest and continuous process automation.
• Collaborate with program management and engineers to implement evolving requirements.
• Promote customer service excellence, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration.
