Job summary

Slalom is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to join its Enhance & Operate team. You will build and optimize data pipelines within a modern EDW ecosystem (Databricks, Snowflake, and ADF), monitor production workloads, resolve incidents, and drive reliability improvements in a fast-paced, consulting-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, or production support for data platforms.
• Strong SQL skills including debugging, performance tuning, and data validation.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks and Azure Data Factory (ADF).

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and troubleshoot Azure Data Factory pipelines, Snowflake ELT/ETL, and Databricks ELT/ETL.
• Monitor data batch cycles and respond to failures, latency, or data-quality issues.
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents within SLA using SQL, Python, logs, and runbooks.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Drive operational improvements: automation, alert tuning, and reliability enhancements.
