Job summary

Slalom is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to support a Databricks + Snowflake + Azure Data Factory EDW ecosystem. You will monitor pipelines, resolve incidents, and implement code enhancements to improve reliability and performance in a fast-paced consulting environment.

You will work with an all-shore delivery model and partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role follows CST hours with a remote setup and a shift spanning late night to early morning.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of data engineering or production support experience.
• Strong SQL debugging and data validation skills.
• Experience building data pipelines in modern cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and troubleshoot ADF pipelines, Snowflake ETL/ELT, and Databricks jobs.
• Monitor data batch cycles and respond to failures, latency, or data quality issues.
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents using SQL, Python, logs, and runbooks.
• Perform RCA and document findings to prevent recurrence.
• Drive operational improvements: automation, alerts, and performance tuning.
