Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines powering AI solutions and dashboards. You will ingest, transform, and deliver data across enterprise sources, implementing quality controls and governance to ensure reliable, secure data for AI workloads.

collaborations with AI engineers and platform teams to ensure data contracts, schema, latency, and freshness meet solution requirements, while supporting Power BI and analytics initiatives.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data engineering experience building and operating production pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; PySpark experience preferred.
• Experience with Azure data services and data governance basics.
• Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and indexing for analytical and AI workloads.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for data pipelines (Terraform, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines ingesting, transforming, and delivering data to AI solutions and business apps.
• Develop and manage integrations across enterprise data sources using APIs, Graph connectors, event-driven and batch patterns.
• Build and maintain data stores and indexing for RAG and AI consumption patterns.
• Implement data quality, validation, and lineage controls for data accuracy and trust.
• Support data models underpinning Power BI dashboards and AI analytics.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers to define data contracts and ensure pipeline outputs meet schema, latency, and freshness.
