Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and integrations powering GEI’s AI solutions and digital initiatives. You will ensure data is accessible, reliable, and governed to support scalable AI deployments.

You will collaborate with AI Engineers, solution architects, and platform teams to production‑readiness, security, and governance. The role emphasizes ingestion pipelines, data stores, quality controls, and support for analytics and Power BI

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data engineering experience with production pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; PySpark or Spark preferred.
• Experience with Azure data services and Databricks.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines ingesting and delivering enterprise data.
• Develop and manage integrations across enterprise data sources using APIs and event-driven patterns.
• Build data stores and indexing for retrieval augmented generation (RAG) and analytics.
• Implement data quality, validation, and lineage controls for trusted AI workflows.
• Support data models underpinning Power BI dashboards and AI analytics.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers to define data contracts and meet schema, latency, and freshness requirements.
• Instrument pipelines for monitoring, cost control, and performance optimization.
• Enforce data governance and security controls including access management and encryption.
