Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Data Engineer to power AI-driven data pipelines and governance within a fast-growing AI and Data team. You will design end-to-end data architectures, integrate diverse data sources, and deliver reliable data services for agentic AI workflows.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years delivering production-grade data engineering across databases, data integration, data services, and governance.
• Role requirements: Proficiency in Python or Java and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Preferred: experience with agentic AI data foundations, lakehouse architectures, and cloud platforms (Azure, OCI, AWS).
• Collaborative skills and ability to work in cross-functional enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable end-to-end data pipelines and curated data products for enterprise analytics and agentic AI use cases.
• Integrate data from enterprise systems and external sources, including structured and unstructured data.
• Deliver reliable data services for agentic AI workflows, including APIs, retrieval/indexing, and governed context delivery.
• Implement data quality, observability, and governance across data pipelines.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, AI engineers, and software developers to translate requirements into production solutions.
