Job summary

Brooksource is seeking an SAP Business Intelligence Developer to join our high-growth team working in a primarily remote environment in the United States. You will design, build, and optimize enterprise reporting solutions across SAP BO, SAC, and Data Cloud/Datasphere, partnering with stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics and reliable data models.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SAP Business Intelligence or SAP Reporting.
• Strong experience with SAP BusinessObjects (BO), including developing and maintaining Universes (UNX/UNV).
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Experience with SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Datasphere, or SAP Data Warehouse Cloud (DWC).
• Strong understanding of SAP core tables, SAP architecture, and SAP data models.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our high-growth team as an SAP Business Intelligence Developer, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering enterprise reporting and analytics solutions across a complex SAP environment. This is more than a report development position—you will partner closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to design, build, and optimize scalable reporting solutions that drive critical business decisions. You will be responsible for the full reporting lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and ongoing support, leveraging your expertise in SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP Business Data Cloud/Datasphere. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is eager to become a trusted technical resource for SAP reporting and analytics.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting solutions using SAP BusinessObjects (BO) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• Build, enhance, and support BusinessObjects Universes (UNX/UNV) to enable robust and scalable reporting models
• Work with SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Datasphere, or Data Warehouse Cloud environments to support modern analytics initiatives
• Analyze incoming reporting requests and translate business requirements into scalable, technical BI solutions
• Develop, validate, and optimize SAP reporting models for accuracy, consistency, and performance
• Leverage SAP core tables, business data structures, and architecture to ensure data integrity and reporting reliability
• Partner with SAP technical teams and business stakeholders throughout the reporting lifecycle, from design through deployment and ongoing maintenance
• Troubleshoot reporting issues, data discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks, providing timely resolutions
• Identify and implement opportunities for optimization, standardization, and best practices in reporting solutions
• Proactively ensure reporting accuracy and data quality, identifying and resolving issues before they impact users
• Contribute as an independent engineer, taking initiative with minimal direction and balancing technical excellence with business needs
• Support a collaborative, fast-paced team environment that values ownership, initiative, and strong problem-solving skills

WHAT YOU BRING

• 5+ years of experience in SAP Business Intelligence or SAP Reporting
• Strong experience with SAP BusinessObjects (BO), including developing and maintaining BusinessObjects Universes (UNX/UNV)
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• Experience with SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), SAP Datasphere, or SAP Data Warehouse Cloud (DWC)
• Strong understanding of SAP core tables, SAP architecture, and SAP data models
• Proven ability to design reporting solutions from requirements gathering through deployment
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills regarding data structures and reporting design
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities
• Experience with Python, SQL/T-SQL, or Tableau (preferred)
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Vistex, or Master Data Management (preferred)
• Exposure to additional SAP modules is a plus
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and own problems from start to finish with minimal direction
• Proven ability to validate and improve existing SAP reporting models and proactively identify data quality and reporting issues
