Job summary

Quest Peoria Charter School Academy in Peoria, Illinois seeks a Writing Interventionist to develop and monitor a comprehensive school-wide writing improvement format. You will use writing data to drive instruction, professional development, and a data-driven program aligned with student development and broader school goals.

The role reports to the Executive Director and requires collaboration with administrators, teachers, and families to implement evidence-based writing practices and curriculum

Qualifications

• Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to provide proof of citizenship or legal residency and background clearance.
• TB test clearance required and background checks conducted.

Responsibilities

• Track and monitor writing data and student progress; participate in RTI.
• Engage with families to provide social/emotional support resources.
• Contribute to Instructional Leadership Team with data reports and planning.
• Meet with Executive Director for data updates and next steps.
• Support students and staff with writing best practices and curriculum.
• Assist school-wide writing curriculum development and interventions.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate with professionals when needed.
• Offer individual and group interventions and referrals as appropriate.
• Assist administrators in RTI procedures for at-risk students.
• Maintain communication with parents and document writing outcomes.
