Job summary

NOIRLab is seeking a Program Financial Analyst to be a hands-on partner for Program leadership, delivering end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and financial insights in a mission-driven research environment.

The role includes building dashboards, supporting POP and NSF reporting, and ensuring alignment with OMB, FAR, and CAS standards. Occasional travel and cross-functional collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• 4+ years of FP&A or equivalent experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Deltek Costpoint, Oracle, Sage).
• Advanced Excel skills and handling large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary financial partner to Program and/or Service leadership and budget managers.
• Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards to monitor financial health, trends, and risks.
• Lead financial support for annual Program Operating Plan (POP) processes.
• Support preparation of quarterly and annual external financial reports to NSF.
• Produce forecasts, rolling budgets, and estimates at completion (EAC).
• Collaborate to develop compliant, realistic budgets for new funding opportunities.
