Job summary

General Motors' Global Product Validation Team seeks a Program Validation & Safety Engineer (PVSE) to drive data‑driven validation, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation across vehicle development. You will build and automate dashboards with Power BI and Python, delivering AI‑assisted insights and clear metrics for leadership review.

This hybrid role requires Jira workflow expertise, Lean Six Sigma awareness, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable guidance for Validation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a relevant technical, data analysis, or validation role (excluding co-op/internship).
• High proficiency in Jira (workflow creation, board management) and Power BI (dashboard development, data modeling).
• Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis, automation, or scripting.
• Experience working with spreadsheet and collaboration tools such as Excel and Google Sheets to integrate, cleanse, and transform data from multiple sources.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to summarize complex information from multiple sources into actionable metrics and clear dashboards.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to propose process solutions using existing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize validation KPI dashboards (Power BI, Maxis) to track program validation metrics and VDC readiness.
• Use Python and cloud analytics (Databricks) to automate data pipelines and enable AI-assisted insights identifying trends and risks.
• Create and maintain Google Sheets–based tools to support rapid analysis and easy sharing of validation data.
