Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to drive quality improvements across production through data-driven, cross-functional methods. You will develop PFMEAs, execute DOE plans, implement DFM reviews, and guide IPC-A-610 compliance for electronic assemblies.

You will create detailed work instructions, support production in issue resolution, and champion LEAN practices while collaborating with teams to reduce waste and enhance product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of PCBAs and electronic component packages.
• IPC-A-610 certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Improve manufacturing quality and efficiency through data-driven, cross-functional approaches.
• Develop and maintain PFMEAs and implement risk-reduction actions.
• Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews for new products.
• Plan and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) for processes and equipment.
• Design fixturing to reduce risk and improve quality.
• Create and maintain detailed work instructions.
• Support production in resolving issues and preventing recurrence.
• Implement LEAN principles to reduce waste.
• Support capital equipment selection, qualification, and implementation.
• Write and execute Operational Qualification (OQ) protocols.
• Apply IPC-A-610 requirements for acceptability of electronic assemblies.
• Train production operators as needed.
• Support customer corrective actions.
• Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for assigned processes/equipment.
