Job summary

Owens & Minor is seeking a Process Engineer to analyze, design, and improve operational processes, boosting efficiency, quality, and throughput. You will map processes, run data analysis, and partner with operations teams to implement scalable solutions.

The role requires 3–5+ years in process engineering and a strong background in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. A relevant degree is mandatory, with a focus on improving warehousing and manufacturing workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in operations, industrial engineering, or related field is required.
• 3-5+ years in process engineering, industrial engineering, or continuous improvement is required.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar improvement methodologies is required.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.
• Experience in distribution, warehousing, or manufacturing operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Map current-state processes and identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste.
• Analyze operational data to identify root causes of performance issues.
• Design and document improved process workflows.
• Develop and test process changes, including pilots before full rollout.
• Build business cases for process improvements, including cost/benefit analysis.
• Establish metrics and monitoring to track process performance post-implementation.
• Support capacity planning and throughput modeling.
• Collaborate with automation and IT teams when process changes involve system or equipment changes.
