Job summary

International Paper is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide accounting and analytical support at our Salinas and Gilroy, CA facilities. You will analyze performance, support budgeting and forecasting, and help maximize plant financial results.

Under the Controller's guidance, you will refine processes, maintain internal controls, and participate in month-end close and reporting. A strong manufacturing finance background is preferred, with CPA/CMA a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, business or related field required; CPA or CMA a plus.
• 3+ years of accounting and/or finance experience; work experience in manufacturing facility highly desirable.
• Corrugated, printing, packaging and/or related finance experience in manufacturing environment a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general business management principles, internal financial management, and industry business practices. Demonstrated skills to influence peers and management.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting and analytical support and analyze performance to maximize financial return for the facility.
• Prepare for and analyze operational results, trends, customer profitability, capital projects, budgeting and forecasting.
• Develop and refine processes to improve accounting efficiencies and document procedures.
• Assist Controller in maintaining internal controls, accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare journal vouchers and participate in month-end close.
• Perform daily financial activities and ensure timely processing of reports.
