Job summary

Miami Marlins seek a Minor League Hitting Coach to implement hitting philosophies and develop players at the minor league level. You will work with the director of hitting and support staff to optimize offensive performance and improve mechanics using modern analytics.

Responsibilities include creating individualized development plans, using TrackMan, Blast Motion, KinaTrax and Edgertronic, and delivering feedback via video and stats. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Prior coaching experience at professional, collegiate, or high-level amateur level required.
Experience integrating biomechanics, analytics, and sports science into hitting instruction is highly desirable.
Former playing experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Implement and uphold the hitting philosophy and development plans.
Develop individualized player development plans tailored to each hitter’s mechanics and approach.
Utilize TrackMan, Blast Motion, KinaTrax and Edgertronic to analyze swing mechanics.
Collaborate with director of hitting and staff to optimize performance.
Provide detailed feedback through video analysis and statistics.
Mentor players in adjusting offensive strategies based on scouting reports.
Foster a culture of learning, adaptability, and resilience.
Stay updated on advancements in hitting instruction and biomechanics.
