Westlake Financial Services, headquartered in Los Angeles, seeks a Corporate Accountant for its on-site team. The role reports to the Corporate Accounting Manager and focuses on cash management, journal entries, and close processes across multiple systems.

You will leverage Excel, SQL, and AI-enabled tools to analyze data, drive process improvements, and support audits and licensing requirements. A strong technical accounting foundation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1–3 years of general, corporate, or public accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and analyze daily cash balances and support treasury activities.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate reconciling items.
• Perform financial statement fluctuation analysis and explain drivers.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Validate data across GL, banks, subledgers, and reporting tools.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Finance, Operations, Tax, and Tech teams to resolve issues.
• Assist with documentation for audits and compliance requests.
• Participate in system implementations and workflow redesigns.
• Use Excel, SQL, AI tools, and automation to reduce manual work.
