Job summary

Allegiant Air is seeking a Fleet Reliability Engineer to safeguard aircraft availability, safety, and regulatory compliance across the growing fleet. This role translates data into actionable reliability improvements, partners with OEMs and internal teams, and supports FAA reliability programs.

It emphasizes proactive maintenance strategies, dashboards, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize fleet health in a dynamic, safety‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field; strong analytical ability.
• Experience with aviation reliability programs and data-driven problem solving.
• Proficiency in data visualization and data extraction tools; SQL/Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with RPM and FAA D074 requirements.
• Perform root-cause analysis using maintenance data to close gaps and improve fleet health.
• Monitor and classify data (PIREPs, delays, removals) to spot trends.
• Maintain Chronic Discrepancies, SDRs, and Reliability reports for FAA submission.
• Create dashboards and executive summaries of reliability trends with Tableau/BI tools.
• Collaborate with OEMs (Airbus/Boeing) and vendors to review performance and issues.
• Evaluate engine/system trends and archive findings for audits.
• Provide technical recommendations for service bulletins and proactive maintenance actions.
