Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Texas is seeking an Early Education teacher dedicated to helping every student master core academics and social skills for college success. The role emphasizes rigorous planning, data-driven instruction, and active engagement with families and the IDEA team.

Candidates will implement IDEA curricula, track progress, and maintain strong classroom management while contributing to a positive campus culture and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• K-12 classroom experience strongly preferred.
• Reading Academies certification per TEA requirements or willingness to obtain.
• Bilingual certification strongly preferred, ESL certification preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Implement formal and informal assessments to track each student’s progress and adjust plans weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families on a weekly basis.
• Utilize technology as a communication and educational tool to improve student achievement.
• Establish a clear behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
• Help shape a school-wide culture that fosters a productive learning environment.
• Host tutoring sessions to meet all students’ needs.
