Job summary

Aalis Management Consulting is seeking a Data Analyst to support federal government programs across defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies. You will collect, analyze, and visualize data to drive informed decisions while working in a remote-friendly environment.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in data analysis or BI, strong SQL, and experience with Power BI or Tableau. Familiarity with federal data governance and reporting standards is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data-related field required or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence roles.
• Experience with federal government or regulated environments preferred.
• Strong SQL skills and experience querying relational databases.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret complex datasets and present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple federal systems and databases.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support leadership decisions.
• Perform data validation, quality assurance, and integrity checks.
• Support data modeling, trend analysis, and predictive analytics as needed.
• Extract and manipulate data using SQL and other query languages.
• Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define data requirements.
• Support performance metrics development and reporting (KPIs, SLAs, dashboards).
• Identify data trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
• Ensure compliance with federal data governance, security, and privacy standards.
• Document methodologies, data sources, and analytical processes.
