Job summary

Kalman & Company, Inc. seeks a motivated data analytics professional to support Federal and DoW programs.

You will build cost analyses, develop predictive models, and defend budget inputs while collaborating with military and government stakeholders to inform major decisions. Requirements include a Secret clearance or ability to obtain, a BA/BS with math-related coursework, and advanced MS Office and analytics tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a government-issued, Secret level clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in any field and successful completion of three semester hours of calculus and twenty-one semester hours in operations research, economics, math, chemistry, physics, or other sciences where the utilization of advanced math skills in geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, or quantitative analyses
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to lead detail-oriented tasks and multitask under minimal supervision
• Experience conducting advanced mathematical and/or statistical methods and creating/ maintaining databases
• Excellent analysis skills and experience working with large data sets
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and maintenance of cost, affordability, and schedule analysis to support DoW acquisitions.
• Lead, develop, update, and apply mathematical and logical methodologies for program analyses.
• Support data analytics and advanced analytics efforts.
• Identify, validate, cleanse, and normalize data to create predictive models and trend analyses.
• Conduct and manage program office estimates and reference them to build and defend budget requirements and forecast future funding needs.
• Evaluate program investment and acquisition strategies and courses of action.
• Conduct BCAs, AoAs, EAs, and market research.
• Lead preparation of briefing materials and communication packages for management at executive and oversight levels.
• Work autonomously and as part of a team to meet organizational goals
• Have a strong understanding of DoW and/or DHS Acquisition processes
• Coordinate with stakeholders to collect and communicate information for priority programs
• Provide thought leadership addressing customer mission and innovative business solutions
