Harris SmartFusion - This remote role welcomes candidates from anywhere in Canada or the US.

Our Professional Services team has an exciting opportunity for a driven individual passionate about providing implementation services for our customers. The Data Conversion Specialist will interpret business rules and data, ensuring successful data migration from various systems into the SmartFusion Solution. Excellent communication, time management, organizational skills, and flexibility are essential.

Reporting to the Manager of Professional Services, this role supports SmartFusion implementation customers mainly across the south and southeast US. It is a remote (work from home) position based on Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Responsibilities

• Use tools and processes to migrate data from other software and sources into Microsoft SQL Server accurately and timely.
• Create complex T-SQL and PowerShell scripts to facilitate data migration.
• Reconcile migrated data to ensure accuracy.
• Interpret requirements and define system setups.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues during implementation.
• Collaborate with project teams including Project Managers, Product Owners, QA, and Support Analysts.
• Participate in data conversion and software installations as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data migration/conversion experience on enterprise projects.
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server/T-SQL scripting skills.
• Knowledge of Windows PowerShell, JIRA, and Team Support.
• Good technical and communication skills; ability to build relationships.
• Understanding of software implementation activities.
• Calm demeanor in challenging situations.
• Excellent writing, editing, and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to travel for customer meetings (0%).

Preferred Skills

• Customer service, training, or IT support background.
• Advanced SQL scripting and database modification skills.
• Familiarity with SmartFusion and accounting principles.
• Associates degree or higher in computer information systems.
• Knowledge of municipal accounting or billing systems.
