Our Professional Services team has an exciting opportunity for a driven individual, and we are looking for a Data Conversion Specialist who is passionate about providing implementation services for our customers. It is mission-critical for the Data Conversion Specialist to be a leader and champion in interpreting business rules and data. This person will be an integral part of a motivated and collaborative team striving to guarantee our customers’ positive experience with us and our products. Excellent communication, time management, organizational skills, and flexibility are essential!

In this key role, your expertise in interpreting business rules and data will be crucial as our customers depend on your skills to migrate data from various systems into the SmartFusion Solution. You will ensure that our products and services are delivered according to the SmartFusion methodology.

Reporting to the Manager of Professional Services, the Data Conversion Specialist will support SmartFusion implementation customers mainly throughout the south and southeast regions of the United States. This position is remote (work from home) with a schedule based on Eastern Standard Time (EST).

What You Will Be Doing:

1. Use various tools and processes to complete data migrations from other software packages and multiple data sources into Microsoft SQL Server accurately and efficiently.
2. Create complex T-SQL and PowerShell scripts with minimal assistance as needed to facilitate data migration.
3. Reconcile migrated data to ensure conversion accuracy.
4. Interpret requirements and define necessary system setups.
5. Provide outstanding customer service and resolve issues throughout the implementation process.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional team members, including Project Managers, Product Owners, Quality Assurance, and Technical Support Analysts.
7. Participate in data conversion and customer software installations as needed.

What We Are Looking For:

• 3+ years of data migration/conversion experience working on multiple enterprise or software implementation projects concurrently.
• Exceptional Microsoft SQL Server/T-SQL scripting skills.
• Good working knowledge of Windows PowerShell and issue tracking software such as JIRA and Team Support.
• Strong technical and communication skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• A deep understanding of all activities related to software system implementations.
• The capacity to maintain a calm demeanor in challenging situations.
• Excellent writing, editing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings (0%).

What Will Make You Stand Out:

• Experience in customer service, training, and IT support is advantageous.
• Advanced experience with SQL scripts and commands for database changes (strongly preferred).
• Proven SQL and PowerShell scripting skills (strongly preferred).
• Working knowledge of the SmartFusion product.
• Knowledge of accounting principles.
• Associate's degree or higher in a computer information systems field.
• Familiarity with municipal accounting and billing practices and systems.
