Job summary

CDC Data Centres, Australia and New Zealand's leading data centre operator, is seeking Service Technicians to monitor mission-critical infrastructure in live data centre environments. Training through CDC Academy will help translate electrical/HVAC backgrounds into data centre operations, with a focus on safety, procedure adherence, and documentation.

Roles involve monitoring power, cooling, and fire systems; responding to incidents; and working a 24/7 rotating shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, or other critical infrastructure environments.
• Safety, reliability, and process are critical in high‑reliability environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms across power, cooling and fire systems.
• Conduct physical equipment inspections to ensure parameters are met.
• Respond to faults and incidents, escalate when needed.
• Perform operational switching to prevent unplanned outages.
• Support planned maintenance and on-site contractors with safety procedures and MOUs.
• Document incidents and maintenance activities for continuous improvement.
