Job summary

C-Serv is seeking a Commissioning Engineer for Red Oak, TX to lead commissioning on mission-critical builds. You will own site commissioning from start to finish, coordinating multiple trades and driving milestones on live projects.

The role requires 5+ years of commissioning leadership, strong MEP knowledge, and hands-on field work on construction sites. Competitive salary with 10% bonus and full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading commissioning in mission-critical facilities.
• Degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of MEP and sequences of operation.
• Experience developing and running commissioning plans.
• Familiarity with NETA standards, BMS/EPMS, access control and CCTV.
• Scheduling using MS Project or Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Lead L1–L5 commissioning for new/expansion projects.
• Create commissioning plans, scripts and procedures across disciplines.
• Integrate schedules with monthly critical path reporting.
• Prepare commissioning RFPs from creation to award.
• Conduct weekly punch-list reviews and develop prevention plans.
• Review design docs, submittals, and start-up procedures.
• Oversee electrical, mechanical, fire alarm systems and controls subs.
• Compile closeout documentation and handover to operations.

Job description

Before a data center goes live, someone has to prove it works. Every system, every sequence, every test. That someone is you.

Our client is a leading provider of enterprise-class data center operator headquartered in Dallas, cloud and interconnection services. They are hiring a Commissioning Engineer in Red Oak, TX (Dallas-Fort Worth metro to lead commissioning on mission-critical construction projects, reporting to the Manager, Commissioning.

What you will own

• Site-specific L1 to L5 commissioning for new and expansion projects
• Commissioning plans, scripts and procedures across multiple disciplines
• Start-up and commissioning schedules, integrated into the project schedule with monthly critical path reporting
• Commissioning RFPs, from creation through to award
• Weekly punch-list reviews and a punch-list prevention plan
• Review of design documents, specifications, vendor submittals and start-up procedures
• Oversight of electrical, mechanical, fire alarm, fire protection and controls subcontractors
• Closeout documentation, and a smooth handover to facility operations

What success looks like

Systems perform to design. Punch-list items close before they pile up. Closeout documentation is complete, and operations take over a facility they can trust. If you are currently on the commissioning agent, consultant or GC side? We want to hear from you.

What we need from you

• 5+ years leading commissioning in mission-critical facilities
• A degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience
• Strong MEP knowledge, and the ability to read owner project requirements, drawings, schematics and sequences of operation
• Experience developing and running commissioning plans, scripts and procedures
• Knowledge of NETA standards, BMS and EPMS, access control and CCTV
• Scheduling in MS Project or Primavera P6, with DCMA 14 or similar
• Clear communication with trade partners, vendors and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfort on active construction sites, including ladders, stairs and personnel hoists

What you get
